Just Yin Yoga

The classes in this program are only Yin yoga poses. Not mixed with any other yoga style.
Yin Yoga is a quiet and simple practice, but not necessarily an easy practice.

This yoga style targets our deepest tissues of the body, our connective tissues — ligaments, joints, bones, and the deep fascia networks of the body — rather than the muscles.
Energetically, Yin yoga improves the energy flow, enhancing the flow of chi in the organs. To be healthy, we need healthy organs as well as healthy muscles.
Yin yoga uses specific poses that can be held for longer periods of time, from 3 to 10 minutes, depending on the pose.
Because you’re holding the pose longer, it’s hard to stay present, to keep your mind alert. That’s why I would describe this practice as challenging like a meditation.
Yin yoga teaches you to stay in the present moment. You will meet the drama's the mind creates, and you will learn ways to observe rather then to get involved.
Yin yoga is very enjoyable, it is very beneficial, and it is meant to balance the yang (more active) yoga practices.
